Only about 2 and a half miles from Beach Plum Motor Lodge, in Orleans, you will find the Pump House right past the rotary, on your left. You couldn't find two more professional, knowledgeable, nicer, friendlier and helpful people than Matt and Jamie! They are truly the best and so adorable! It's no wonder that the Pump House has had an excellent reputation over the years! Here you will find quality surfboards, stand - up paddle boards, skimboards, bodyboards, skateboards, accessories, beach fashion and so much more. From a ding repair to snorkeling.....they have got you covered! And oh, by the way, tell them Gloria sent you! That'll put a smile on their face!

                                                 Nauset Light and Coast Guard Beach
                                                                     Eastham    

Only 3 miles away from Beach plum Motor Lodge, and part of the National Seashore, you will find that Nauset Light and Coast Guard Beach is accessable by way of the bike trail (and partly by road) or car. From mid-June to labor Day, both beaches are a prime location for swimming, boogie boarding, surfing, and wind surfing.The parking lot at Coast Guard Beach has handicap parking, as well as a wheelchair accessible ramp that leads to the beach. Restroom facilities and outdoor showers are available at both beaches.

                                           
                                                      Fort Hill & The Penniman House
                                                                       Eastham  

Fort Hill , part of the National Seashore, is only a mile and a fourth away from Beach Plum Motor Lodge, and is filled with a series of trails including the Red Maple Trail. Sitting atop of Fort Hill, you will find the Captain Penniman House, a whaling museum which tells the story of Captain Edward Penniman and his family.

Only two and a half miles from Beach Plum Motor Lodge, First Encounter Beach is one of Eastham's well known historical sights, because back in 1620, this is where the Pilgrims and Native Americans  first met and had their "first encounter". First Encounter beach is also known for its' beautiful and breathtaking sunsets. So pack a dinner a picnic and enjoy the beauty that this little piece of paradise has to offer.
 
 
                                                               The Cape Cod Rail Trail
 
A beautiful paved bike trail, the 25 mile Cape Cod Rail Trail extends from South Dennis to Wellfleet. It is conveniently located about a fourth of a mile from Beach Plum Motor Lodge, and it is truly an enjoyable way of exploring the Cape. The trail also offers you a chance to go swimming  at nearby lakes as well as stopping off for a quick bite to eat.
